Hodson Bay Group Safe Stay Code is an enhancement of our existing Hygiene and Cleanliness procedures and includes 9 additional measures to ensure your safety and well-being when you stay with us.

BEDROOM SERVICING

For the Safety of our guests and our staff, rooms are serviced on guest check out only. Fresh towels and rubbish removal are offered daily.

 

We have also removed all collateral and reading materials to allow for effective sanitisation of all surfaces.

QUEUE MANAGEMENT

By now, everyone appreciates the importance of social distancing. At Hodson Bay Group, we have introduced a number of new initiatives to help make social distancing easier, in particular in relation to queue management.
1. Online check in pre arrival to remove the necessity to queue for check in on arrival.
2. “Pay as you go” and contactless payment throughout your stay to avoid you having to check out on departure
3. Online booking systems for restaurant, bar, swimming pool and gym.

10 HIGH-TOUCH DEEP CLEAN AREAS IN GUEST BEDROOMS

As part of our Safe -Stay Code, after our guest rooms have been cleaned the sanitizing team move in and fully sanitise the room using EPA-approved hospital grade cleaning solutions, all high-touch surfaces will receive additional – attention this includes light switches, door handles, phones, TV remotes, thermostats, bed and bedding, bathrooms, safes, kitchen housewares and surfaces.
The room is then sealed using the say safe seal and not accessed until your arrival.

FULL SURFACE COVERAGE SPRAYING

The application of full surface coverage spraying is an additional measure to supplement the manual cleaning procedures. The specialised equipment projects a fine mist of droplets, approximately 40 microns in diameter. This allows for surfaced coverage and with a contact time of 5 mins or more, the removal of any microorganisms including Covid 19 and Norovirus is guaranteed.

EXTERNAL FRESH AIR

We are very fortunate, that our hotels are serviced with fresh air taken from outside. This means that we do not have ducted air in our rooms. Hodson Bay Group has always placed a high importance of the ability to refresh our room spaces and as part of our Safe-Stay Code, the circulation of fresh air will be an important element in the preparation of our rooms for our guests.

SAFE-STAY ROOM SEAL

Each bedroom and meeting room will be comprehensively cleaned in line with our new Safe-Stay Code. In addition to this, we have introduced our “Safe-Stay Room Seal”.
The Safe-Stay Room Seal is an extra measure to provide customers confidence and comfort – by placing the room seal on all meeting room and bedroom doors to indicate that the room has not been accessed since being thoroughly cleaned.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING, WEARING OF MASKS

We are fortunate at Hodson Bay Group that our hotels enjoy spacious ground floor capacity, as well as extensive outdoor space and gardens. Physical distancing in our hotels will be much easier as a result, and in addition to this, we will make the safe accessing of our hotels straightforward through visible and clear signage throughout your stay with us.

TRAINED & DEDICATED CLEANING TEAMS

Over the past 28 years, it is the dedication of our staff that has ensured quality, friendly and efficient service to our customers. This has enabled Hodson Bay Group to survive during the challenging times, and grow in between. Since the lockdown, loyalty and quality of our staff has been a massive benefit and all staff have contributed to the Safe-Stay Code re-training programme. We want you to know that our staff have been fully trained on our Safe-Stay Code and will ensure you can have every confidence in our commitment to you.

DINING SAFELY

We have invested time and resources in training our staff to ensure your safety. Our staff have been trained on prevention measures to stop the spread of Covid-19, also all staff must wear mandatory face coverings as well as adhering to social distancing and sanitizing hands. Our safe stay code focuses on increased cleaning and sanitizing of high touch surfaces throughout our hotel. We are asking our guests to also adhere to government guidelines by wearing face coverings indoors and sanitizing hands when you enter the hotel.

ESTABLISHMENT OF HYGIENE & CLEANLINESS COUNCIL

To assist us in assembling our Safe-Stay Code, we have established a Hygiene & Cleanliness Council comprising of Bill Tansley, (Chemist and Head of Applications, Diversey Chemicals), Seachange Risk Management, Garry Walsh, (Director and BSc Food Science & Technology); Patricia McGovern, (Food Safety Expert) Aidan O’Sullivan, (Director of Infrastructure and Services, Hodson Bay Group).
